What is it?

This system, developed by George E. Adamy, combines a high-quality acrylic polymer additive, POLYADAM II or PII, portland cement, sand and glass scrim, an alkali-resistant, fiberglass reinforcing material that's compatible with cementitious products.  The resulting structures are strong, lightweight, and weather resistant and, unlike a resin-based fiberglass system, the materials are nontoxic.

Another attractive quality of this system is that it can be applied to virtually any surface.  Its strength is derived from its unique combination of materials.

1.  POLYADAM    II    (PII) ™

The original sculptors' polymer formulated specifically for fine quality sculptures and crafts.  a non toxic, high quality acrylic emulsion used to enhance cement and plaster.  It dries clear and has a prolonged shelf life.

Used for reinforcement.  It is specifically treated to be alkali-resistant and compatible with all cements, plasters, pulps, fibers, and resins.  It is flexible, shiftproof, impact resistant, symmetrical and has no health hazards.  Easier to use than short fibers.  Cuts with shears.

B.  Heavy duty woven roving scrim is equal to 4 or more layers of 7½ oz. of woven glass cloth or ¾ oz. mat 39" wide.  An excellent flexible, non-rusting replacement for hardware cloth and it won't cut you.

The best mixer available to minimize bubbles in viscous mixes including cement, plaster, pulp, paint and adhesives.  Chuck in a 450-700 rpm drill.  They are made out of stainless steel that will last a lifetime.

The best universal mold release known to us.  There is no residue on castings or build up in molds.  It is non-toxic, non-CFC, non-VOC, and non-flammable.

MATERIALS FOR DIRECT APPLICATION TO ARMATURES, CONSTRUCTION, CASTING, AND LAMINATING.

A transparent clear acrylic emulsion which:  1.  is mixed with chopped pulp-fiber, paper mache, lint, etc.  2.  coats, seals. and waterproofs paper, fiber, fabric, foam, cement, and plaster, etc., 3.  is mixed with pigments, metal flake and powders to make excellent paint.  It is non-toxic, and has a prolonged shelf life.
